Background
A national oil and gas company, is seeking to transform their business and operations fundamentals in order to have high governance with their B2B clients, intersecting business, digital technology & operations. Relying heavily on an existing Design Language System, the challenge was to scale the design system in accordance to new requirements without losing its core values.
Research
Before the start of every MVP, we conducted a workshop with key stakeholders to understand how they complete their tasks. Working closely with the clients and business analyst, we establish the business rules and requirements of each feature.
Design Process
Usability Testing was conducted at every sprint cycle to evaluate the product. These findings provided valuable feedback to help shape and improve the design and flow.
Design Handover
The screens were designed on Sketch before uploading to Zeplin. A Design System with a 52-page interaction guide was created alongside the screens to be handover to the remote developer team.
Outcome
A once manual process is now digitalized and automated in the expense management platform. With emphasis in security and transparency, the platform bridged the gap for the client's business clients in their task of expense reporting and transactional audits.
